The Guide

Here's what the process looks like from start to finish.

Here's What to Expect

Four steps from sign-up to your first meal.

Step 1

Build Your Profile

Start by entering your basic information: your height, weight, age, and activity level, along with any food allergies or dietary preferences. You'll also choose a health focus for your plan, whether that's general healthy eating, heart health, blood sugar support, or another area you'd like to support. From there, we calculate your daily caloric needs based on the information you've provided.

Once your health profile is complete, it's time to make it personal. Select the type of cuisine you enjoy, how much variety you want in your ingredients, how many meals you eat in a day, and how comfortable you are in the kitchen.

Step 2

Review Your Meals

Our bespoke AI framework generates five unique recipes for every meal you've selected, tailored to your profile. Before anything is finalized, you have the opportunity to review, swap, and approve your selections before they're submitted for clinician review.

Step 3

Quality Review

Before your meal plan is delivered, it goes through a quality review by a naturopathic doctor on our team. They verify that the plan meets FrameWork's standards for nutritional completeness and accuracy, including caloric and macronutrient targets, flagged allergies, dietary preferences, and alignment with your selected health focus. Meal timing, cooking difficulty, instruction clarity, and overall plan quality are reviewed as well.

This is a platform-level quality review. It is not an individual health assessment, and using FrameWork does not establish a relationship between you and any practitioner on our team. We give our reviewers 48 hours to complete this step, nothing is delivered until it clears.

Step 4

Start Cooking

Once your plan clears quality review, your complete meal plan arrives alongside a modifiable shopping list, ready for you to cook and enjoy. From there, the plan is yours to use in whatever way works best for your life.

Getting the Most Out of Your Meal Planner

Flexibility Is Built In

We know that cooking three meals from scratch every day isn't realistic for most people. Your meal plan is designed to be adaptable. Daily caloric goals are spread evenly throughout main meals, and macronutrient ratios are kept consistent. That means you can swap and interchange meals however it works best for your schedule.

Meal Prepping and Leftovers

In this video, Dr. Elena Moore, ND, co-founder of Framework Nutrition, walks you through exactly how to use the platform for meal prep.

Batch cooking is one of the simplest ways to make healthy eating easier, and with Framework it's built right in. Adjust your serving size directly from the recipe page or meal plan page and your recipes and grocery list update automatically. Less time planning, more time enjoying your meals.

Please note: Guiding principles (such as limiting red meat or including plant-based proteins) and ingredients aligned with your selected health focus are intentionally spread across the plan. If you're repeating meals or batch prepping, we suggest rotating through a variety of meals over the course of the month to get the full benefit of your plan.

Making the Most of Your Grocery List

Most people don't shop for everything at once. The grocery list at the bottom of the meal planner allows you to select specific recipes to include, so you're only shopping for what you need. Adjust serving sizes from the meal card or recipe page and your grocery list will update automatically to match.

Cooking with a Partner or Family

In this video, Dr. Ayla Andrus, ND, co-founder of Framework Nutrition, takes you through how she uses the platform to cook for herself and her partner.

Cooking for a partner or family? We've got you covered. First, calculate your partner's caloric needs using the Profile page. Then simply use the serving size function to scale recipes up to accommodate. The recipes and grocery list update automatically, so everyone at the table is fed without extra effort.

Please note: If you are following a plan built for a specific health focus, that plan may not be appropriate for everyone at the table.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind
